A drive device is provided with an electrical drive motor (11), which has a stator (12) and a rotor (13). The stator is rigidly connected with a machine frame (8), and the rotor, drive spindle, centrifuge barrel and housing form a flexible unit supported at the machine frame (8). The flexible unit provides vibration during operation of the device.
