The sound-absorbing unit (1) has a support plate (2) with an end inserted into a groove of a profile (6), and is covered by a laminate at one side. The support plate has sealing units (4, 5) that are molded at the end of the plate. The sealing units protrude from a level of the ends of the support plate for attaching into the groove. The sealing units are provided with long fibers, which are held in a plastic matrix of the sealing units, at their surface that is turned inwards. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sound-absorbing unit.
