Disinfection of raw sewage and unclean waster water comprises disinfecting well cleaned waste water, less cleaned (badly cleaned) waste water or raw sewage through sieving and sedimentation; partially circuiting or circuiting the waste water many times over UV lamps to achieve good water; and applying an UV dose (through a longer resting time and a higher irradiation intensity) to the treated water, which is clearly above the dosage that has been recommended or used till now.
