Composite component comprises an outer shell (4) and a matrix (12) containing fibers (16) and a foamable compression molding compound (14), and obtained by Long Fiber Injection (LFI)-process, where the concentration of the foamable compression molding compound is placed in a layer (10, 20) constraining the outer shell (4). An independent claim is included for a method for the preparation of composite part (2, 18, 22) comprising inserting the outer shell into a cavity of a press tool; reversely applying the compression molding compound to obtain the matrix; applying the constraining layers, which prevents the saturation of the compound in the outer shell, and injection-pressing the compound with the outer shell.
