The medical instrument (1) for implanting into human body by 19F-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging technique, comprises a sample (2) for permitting localization of the medical instruments into the human body, and a transponder. The medical instrument is a neural implant, a micro pump for the controlled and localized release of pharmaceuticals in the body, biopsy needle, a minimally invasive instrument, an endoscope or an artificial landmark applicable by the endoscope. The sample shows different forms, which permit to differentiate the instruments on a 19F-NMR imaging from each other. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the localization of a medical instrument.
