The method involves defining signal sequences of sensors as classes and assigning typical classes to conveyors, e.g. curve conveyors (K1-K5), of a conveyor system or transitions between the conveyors. Sequences are continuously verified to find whether they are assigned to one class. Parameter and movement scenarios determined for transportation objects are position-dependently assigned to the class in the case of a possible assignment.
