The fluid pump, which pumps fluid delivered by a supply pump (25). The fluid pump has a cam shaft (14), which is turned by a combustion engine. A cam (17) turns single-piece with the cam shaft. A cam ring (18) is provided on an outer peripheral surface of the cam. The cam ring is slidable relative to the cam and the cam ring is adapted to it, to rotate the cam shaft. A housing (11,12) possesses a cam chamber (13), which takes up the cam and the cam ring. The housing also possesses a compression chamber (22).
