Preparation of a zinc form comprises reaction of zinc metal with a neutral or basic inorganic or organic compound. Preparation of a zinc form comprises reaction of zinc metal with a neutral or basic inorganic or organic compound (I) of formula (X kY1 lZ mM n). M : cationic groups 1, 2, 12 or 13 of the periods system of the elements, preferably cation of Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca or Al (where the cation of: group 1 of the periodic system prefers the anion of OR, NR 2, N(SiR 3) 2, OSiR 3, CO 3, R (all preferred), SR or PO 4, group 2 and 12 prefers the anion of OR, NR 2, N(SiR 3) 2, CO 3, R (all preferred), halo or OSiR 3, and group 3 prefers the anion of halo, OR or R); X, Y1, Z : anion of H, halo, OR, OSiR 3, NR 2, N(SiR 3) 2, SR, SO 4, HSO 4, PO 4, HPO 4, H 2PO 4, CO 3, NO 3, NO 2, CN, acetate or R; R : aliphatic, cyclic, heterocyclic or aromatic 1-40C (preferably 1-10C) organic fragments that is obtained by the conversion of zinc with organic halogenide to organo zinc halogenide in the zinc organic compound; k, l : 0 (for metal of group 1), 1 (for metal of group 2, 12 and 13); m : 1 (for metal of group 1 and 13), 0 (for metal of group 2 and 12); and n : adapted corresponding to the electro neutrality of (I) (for metal of group 1, 2, 12 and 13). Independent claims are included for: (1) a zinc form, obtained from the above method, comprising highly reactive zinc metal; and (2) a mixture containing the zinc form and/or a suspension.
