The device has a transfer case (10) formed by two couplings arranged adjacent to each other. The case variably distributes a drive moment on output shafts connected with axial differences of an all-wheel motor vehicle. Pressing plates (36, 38) cooperating with an actuation device are provided for impact of the couplings. One of the plates subjects the couplings with an axially adjustable ramp plate (48) and an axially non-relocatable ramp plate (50) and balls (52) lying between the ramp plates. Coupling, pressing and/or releasing forces are supported as inner force over the ramp plates.
