The device (1) has a housing (7) attached to a crankshaft and at least one inertial mass (40) coupled to the housing via spring elements (34,35) and with the shape of a part circular disk with two peripheral ends and a sliding outer peripheral surface in frictional contact with the housing. Both peripheral ends of the inertial mass are clamped between two spring elements with relatively low spring stiffness. Independent claims are also included for (A) a crankshaft for a piston engine (B) and a piston engine.
