Method involves determining that whether an accelerator (18) of vehicle (10) was relinquished. It involves determining whether a vehicle brake (30) was relinquished the desired speed of vehicle is fixed, if pre-defined activation criteria are fulfilled. A control algorithm is implemented, if pre-defined activation criteria are fulfilled, whereby control rule algorithm is suitable to keep the vehicle speed automatic at or near desired vehicle speed.
