The device has heat producing components e.g. power semiconductors, and a cooling device to remove heat which is produced by the components. The cooling device consists of an air cooler, in which a liquid cooler is mounted, and the air cooler is provided between the liquid cooler and the components. The air cooler has a cooling body, which includes cooling ribs (5) and/or finger for heat dissipation to on-rushing air and a mechanical interface for detachable connection with the liquid cooler. The components are connected on a base plate (6) that is formed one piece with the body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a series of electrical devices (2) a device with a housing part, which encloses a space region within which heat producing electrical devices are arranged (3) a method for cooling an inverter.
