The flexible pipe for inserting endoscope into duodenum, small- and large intestine to examine gastro-intestinal tract, has flexible tubing section (3) and bendable section (4), whose proximal end is coupled with the distal end of the flexible tubing section. The tubing section has a first core element (31) and a first outer envelope (32), which covers the first core element. The bendable section has a second core element and a second outer envelope, which covers the second core element. The first envelope consists of a material in its exterior surface and in an area near to the exterior surface. The flexible pipe for inserting endoscope into duodenum, small- and large intestine to examine gastro-intestinal tract, has flexible tubing section (3) and bendable section (4), whose proximal end is coupled with the distal end of the flexible tubing section. The tubing section has a first core element (31) and a first outer envelope (32), which covers the first core element. The bendable section has a second core element and a second outer envelope, which covers the second core element. A clamping cord (9) is intended, with which the exterior surfaces of the distal end section of the first envelope and the proximal end section of the second envelope are wrapped. The first envelope consists of a material in its exterior surface and in an area near to the exterior surface. The material exhibits a relatively weak adhesive strength in relation to the adhesive, and the area covered by the adhesive of the first envelope is pretreated with a pre-treatment agent in such a way that the adhesive strength of the first envelope is strengthened in relation to the adhesive. During the pretreatment, the pretreatment agent penetrates into the first envelope with pre-determined penetration depth. The pre-determined depth is more than 30% of the thickness of the first envelope. The exterior surface of the first envelope is modified by the pretreatment. An independent claim is included for an endoscope equipped with flexible pipe.
