The cordless telephone system has a base unit and a cordless telephone handset including speakerphones and displays. A doorbell module comprising a page button is located within a range of receivable wireless communication of the base unit and the cordless telephone handset, and is coupled to a wireless camera unit. A radio frequency (RF) message is transmitted by the door module to activate an alert sound from the speaker phones, when the page button is pressed. An independent claim is included for a doorbell intercom communication method.
