Residual monomer-free, aqueous polymer dispersions of polychloroprene particles also contain hydroxylamine derivatives. Residual monomer-free, aqueous dispersions containing (A) polychloroprene particles and (B) hydroxylamine derivatives of formula R 1-N(OH)-R 2(I), in which R 1, R 2H, 1-20C alkyl (linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated, optionally mono- or poly-substituted), 6-12C aryl, 7-14C aralkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl, or R 1and R 2may be linked together by an optionally substituted 3-7C cycloalkyl residue . Independent claims are included for (1) adhesive and sealant formulations containing these dispersions (2) substrates coated with these formulations (3) polymer layers obtained from these dispersions .
