Production of a three-dimensional component comprises forming molded bodies (1) having plate-like individual elements (3) which are connected together. An independent claim is also included for molded bodies used in the above process. Preferred Features: The individual elements are made from composite materials, e.g. plywood panels. The molded body is made from an auxiliary shell containing a plastic composition which hardens in the body. The elements are joined using a hydraulic, pneumatic and/or a vacuum pressing method.
