The component (40) has a sliding surface (42) with an anchorage side for arrangement at a resectioning surface of distal femurs. A joint articulated area (46) includes two condyle segments (48, 50) that are connected with each other at an anterior side. Costas (56, 58) are provided at a distance from an anchoring surface (44), and are arranged at the anchorage side of each of the condyle segments having an anterior to posterior course. The costa (56) lies in a sagittal plane and the costa (58) is guided in its anterior posterior course, which runs at an inclination to the sagittal plane.
