The method involves pressing a form part of a chain wheel made of steel plate (S) by using a die (40), which has trimmed edges in the form of a round or bevel. Tooth points of the chain wheel are designed with rounded rear sides. Rounded front sides are designed at the tooth points of the chain wheel by pressing the tooth points of the wheel, where the rounded front sides and the rounded rear sides are of same shape.
