The method involves receiving a reference-engine output power corresponding to an opening level (AC) of a gas operating device. The operations of DC-converters (12,14) are controlled/regulated, such that an output voltage of fuel cell system is same or larger than a predetermined voltage, which is necessary for securing a desired engine output power, when reference-engine output power is larger than a predetermined reference value of the output power. The reaction gases are received by fuel cell (13) and carries out electro-chemical reactions for generation of electric energy. An energy storage unit (11) is charged with electric energy generated by the fuel cell and regeneration energy of the engine (16). A DC (direct current)-converter (12) provided between the energy storage unit and the engine control/regulation unit (15).
