The fire place has a distribution unit for an air stream for moving the flap-frame-combination formed by the flap (1a) and the frame (2a) into a pressure balancing system. An air stream is prevented in the pressure balancing system in the combustion chamber across the vertical edges (5a) of the flap and an air stream is enabled across the upper edge (6a) of the flap-frame-combination in the combustion chamber for balancing the air pressure in the combustion chamber and the air pressure surrounding the combustion chamber.
