The stator (1) has a pole tooth (3) arranged at a pole tooth rim. A yoke (2) is formed of a segment chain, which consists of individual segments (7) that are connected with each other in an articulated manner. The yoke surrounds the pole tooth of the pole tooth rim at a pole tooth end (6). The yoke is formed by rolling the segment chain on the pole tooth end of the pole tooth rim. The individual segments have recesses that are provided for receiving the pole-tooth end of the pole tooth. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a stator.
