The device has a sensor device (3) e.g. Hall sensor, for determining a relative position of pins (1, 2). The pins are fastened to respective mirror segments (10, 20). One of the pins is arranged such that the pin is brought in cohesive contact with one of the segments. Bolts (1.4, 2.4) and a ball are provided for the pins, such that the pins set a parking or operating position. The pins are aligned together in a space by the arrangement of the bolts and the ball, in the parking position. Housing (4) surrounds the pins and the device.
