Reinforcing mat for reinforced concrete has central area with longitudinal wires at even axial distances and the same cross sectional surfaces, and with looped wire edge areas
The mat consists of longitudinal and transverse wires (2,5), welded together at the crossing points. It has two longitudinal edge wires (3,4) and two transverse looped wire ends. The longitudinal wires within the center area (Z) of the mat are at the same relative axial distance (a) and have the same cross-sectional surfaces. Edge areas on both longitudinal sides consist of a pair of parallel wedge wires (3,4) at a relative axial distance (c), which is smaller than the first axial distance. The axial distance (b) between the inner edge wire (3) and the neighboring wire (2) of the central area, is also larger than the first axial distance. The edge areas consist of edge loops (7). All wires are of warm-rolled material of high ductility, with even-numbered diameters, subjected to additional cold forming, pref. stretching.
