摘要
In a process to strengthen the load-bearing peg join in a wooden structure e.g. building frame, the area around the wooden load bearing zone is strengthened by fibers bonded to the wood surface and splayed over the adjacent surface in a distributed regular matrix pattern. The fibers are looped around the peg. The fibers may be embedded in one or more further load-spreading webs bonded to the wood surface. The fibers may be man-made fibers e.g. glass, carbon, aramide, or natural fibers e.g. flax or hemp, bonded in epoxy- or polyester resin. The load-spreading web is e.g. fleece, a knitted textile. The epoxy- or polyester resin hardens at high temperature.
