Hydrogel with a water content of at least 50 wt.%, comprises at least gel-forming polysaccharide, at least one acrylic acid derivative and an electrolyte mixture of at least two different electrolytes. Independent claims are included for: (1) wound filler comprising the hydrogel and/or a medical substrate; and (2) wound dressing comprising medical substrate impregnated with the hydrogel.
