A feedthrough capacitor includes a metal strap whose two ends are shaped such that the metal strap can be inserted into an annular seat defined between the two projecting adjacent rings of an insulator. A closing mechanism e.g. hook and loop fastener, mechanically fastens the strap inside the seat such that the ends of the strap are arranged together around the outer surface of the insulator. An independent claim is also included for a measuring assembly.
