The transparent mattress can be made of a synthetic foil and inflated for use. The material can be permeated by ultraviolet light, resulting in a more even tanning. The head area is fitted with an integrated cushion for a comfortable rest. The lower surface is provided with suction cups. In a second version the unit is designed as a transparent mat. Each user of the solarium can have his/her own mat or mattress for hygienic reasons.
