Arrangement for changing already existing hospital bed according to safety regulations, comprises use of spacer sleeves

The standard hospital bed is fitted with lateral railings preventing the patient from falling in particular cases. The railing can be folded down if not required. With a new arrangement the patient is to be protected from injury by getting the skin caught between the moving parts. In a first step the rear railings can be interchanged. Additionally the flat irons holding the railings are provided with spacer sleeves in order to create a safe distance between the parts. Small synthetic plates can be pushed onto the sleeves for even better protection.
