An improved support for a safety fence for downhill skiing is made of tubular steel with an OD of one and a half inches and a wall thickness of one eight inch. The support comprises one bent section and two straight sections welded together. The safety mesh is knitted from 3 mm plastic covered wire with a mesh size of 50 mm. A 4 mm support wire links the supports spaced at 2.5 meters.
