The device for dosed filling of a medium has a shut-off component adjustable between an open and a closed position and formed as a tap plug which is rotatable around an axis. The tap plug in the closed position bears with sealing effect against a valve seat which is associated with the outlet opening, the opening edge of which, which lies at the bottom in the direction of flow, projects into the passage of the tap plug in the open position. The lower opening edge is formed with a cutting capability.
