The device has a speedometer (5) whose output is connected to an indicating device, and a voltage regulating device with a voltage output is connected to a dynamo (1). An operating voltage input of the speedometer is connected to the voltage output. The speedometer is connected to a speedometer signal by indirectly generated voltage guided to the dynamo. The speedometer has an evaluation circuit that decouples the speedometer signal. A battery is provided for supplying a programmable memory module for selecting memory content such as driving related data, where the selected content are indicated in the indicating device.
