The bearings for moving platens (4, 5) on the column or tie rod (1) are formed by bushes (7, 8), which have internal circumferential grooves connected with an external grease nipple. Typically the supply groove is 5.8 mm wide, while the other grooves are 2.5 mm wide and spaced 15 mm apart. Between the grooves are internal blind holes, e.g. 10 mm diameter, filled with a solid lubricant. An independent claim is included for an injection molding system with a lubrication system of this kind. The columns (1) have a ground surface and a radial clearance of 50 to 200 mu m. The bushes are held between lands (9) and retaining rings (18).
