The rotating cylindrical low potential electrodes (13) are peripherally mounted on end plates (14,15) through which the gas stream flows and within which is a high tension electrode fitted. Wire strips (16) are positioned along the outer surface of the cylinder electrodes, tensioned by springs (17), to remove the collected particles.
