The vent tile has a channel arranged in a head area (2) for the ventilation and drainage, where a lower edge of a ridge tile attaches to the head area under release of flow through openings to a channel base. A constantly rising air conducting surface (10) is provided in the head area with a form, whose virtual extension of its surface perpendicular to the ridge approaches to a large extent tangential to the surface of the ridge tile. A water beading (4) is provided on a longitudinal side of the ridge tile and a cover beading (5) is provided on another longitudinal side.
