The medical treatment device has filter unit, which is used for physically separating germs and suspended matters from water in a bypass exterior to a water supply hose or integrated into the hose by adapter connections adjacent to a handle or at another place of the hose. The filter unit has a housing (2) and 20-40 flexible hollow fiber membranes (4) with porous walls (6) and a mesh size of 0.2 mu m. The membranes are connected with the housing in such a manner that the stream water flows into the fibers closed at the other side and flows out of an outlet (14) after passing through the walls.
