The biosensor (1) includes a microprocessor, a memory, a display unit (11), a power unit, a test strip, a test strip interface (13) for receiving the test strip, keys for inputting specific series of signals, and a parameter reference memory unit for storing and receiving the input signals to perform parameter calibration. The parameters obtained from the parameter reference memory unit are sent to the microprocessor for performing the calibration of the biosensor. The parameter reference memory unit may be provided in the form of ROM or built-in memory.
