The pivot system for set-top boxes (1) comprises pivot mountings on either side of the box. The first of these (13) contains a push-button (131) and a convex pivot contact (138), while the second has a recess (141) containing a C-shaped pivot contact (142). The pivot system (2) contains a socket (22) with pins connected to leads (221). A pivot contact (23) at the rear of the pivot housing connects with the pivot mountings on the box. Recesses (231, 232) on either side of the pivot housing cooperate with the pivot mountings.
