The window has a sealing medium (4) e.g. sealing band, inserted between a glass holding strip (1) and a contact surface (3) of the glass holding strip. A groove (5) is provided for receiving the sealing medium. The material for a window frame (2) is selected from the group of wood, plastic and metal. The position of the sealing medium in region of the glass strip-contact surface is situated at an inner edge of the frame.
