The device (1) has a connecting device (4a) that is detachably fixable at a boot latch of a vehicle (3) and another connecting device (4b) that is fixable at a shopping trolley (2). An operating unit is provided for loosening the two connecting devices. The former connecting device is fixable in two different positions at the fixing device. The latter connecting device comprises fixing units (8a, 8b) that are engageable at the trolley.
