The module has universal serial bus (USB)-devices and an integrated drive electronics (IDE)-hard disk that are activated by a disc operating system (DOS)-like command control and a serial interface, respectively, to transmit or store and retrieve data. A risc controller is provided for data conversion, where the storage of data is carried out depending on a formatted memory medium. Connections for USB-devices and disk are enclosed as USB-plug socket. Protective circuits are included for a USB-interface according to USB specification and respective electro-motive vulnerability (EMV) standard.
