Vehicle trailer (1) has a trough (4), which is hydraulically tiltable from a lowered resting position, around a drag axis running in longitudinal direction of the vehicle trailer, into a raised tilting position. A flexible element is effectively connected with the trough. The flexible element is in a relaxed position, if the trough is in the raised tilting position and is in a strained position, if the trough is in the lowered resting position.
