A filter device for connection to a suction pipe comprises a pipe body (1) with two connecting pipes (11, 12), a barrier (2) inside the first connector (11) and an outer cover (3) over an opening in (11) to fix the barrier in place, the cover having a number of holes (31) through it and the barrier serving to block the passage of foreign matter such as fine particles or bacteria in the air.
