The rail has a guideway (02) in which a guide unit e.g. a guide bolt can be guided, and a locking unit (03) to limit the moving range of the guide unit. The sliding rail is made up of a plastic e.g. polypropylene, which is filled with fibrous material. A long fiber material is provided as the fibrous material with a fiber length of 11 millimeter. The locking unit has a latch unit (05) movably supported in a housing (06), which is formed single piece at a base body of the sliding rail (01).
