The sieve assembly (10), to sift a mixture of sand and water, has an angled sieve (30) and a mixture feed (14). A guide system leads the sand mixture to the sieve, using a number of plates as slides (22), over each other, aligned at an angle of 45-135[deg] to different points on the sieve where the sifted sand drops into a container (40).
