The sports shoe comprise an inner shoe mounted in an outer shell (1) which has underneath a sole part (2) whose stiffness can be changed through a tensioner (5) which is connected in force locking engagement to both the front sole plate (3) and the rear sole plate (4) via a length-adjustable traction bar which runs in the longitudinal direction of the sole. A flexible crumple element (7) formed by a stretched two-part narrow angular vane is provided in the metatarsal area of the shoe upper where the actual material of the upper smoothly reduces its thickness. The centre points of the two crumple parts lie on a curve running from the instep to the sole and the angle from instep to sole included by the two parts of the crumple element is between 20 and 60 degrees. the tension bar is associated with a tension lock.
