Claimed is a Kumihimo hobby tabletop pattern for braiding cord, strong, threads or ribbons. The pattern is of roughly circular form and bearing marks, notches and detents. The pattern diameter is in the range 500 to 1,500 mm and is fabricated of wood or wood-based materials, plastic or sheet metal. The pattern has a central hole through which the braid is progressively released, and secondary apertures at other pre-selected points. The secondary apertures are locating sockets for markers, arrows etc.
