The system has a soot filter (1) fixedly and detachably arranged between a base plate (4) and a cover plate (3), where the cover plate has an opening at the middle. The cover plate is placed with a pipe connection (6) in such a manner that exhaust gases that are to be cleaned arrive in the filter by connecting rods (5) and the cover plate. A hose connection exists between an exhaust pipe of a diesel engine and the rods during the operation of the diesel engine, and lugs are fastened to the cover and base plates.
