The cutter (1) has a handle (2) whose rear end is provided with a sealing cap for inserting and holding a battery that is inserted in the handle. A battery-operated heating device or a gas burning device is arranged in the handle or in a heatable haft that receives the cutter. The handle is designed as a gas cartridge such that the gas burning device is formed in an intersection from the handle to the cutter according to kind of a flue. A stopper is provided in the form of a safety sleeve (7) at the intersection and at heat conducting jaws (3, 4).
