Done-shaped inner surface (2) of inlay (1) is embodied as guide surface for artificial head of hip joint. It has a pocket-shaped cavity (3) in the inner surface, which reaches to the base edge (4) of the inlay. Cavity takes up 70% of the distance from base edge to pole of dome. It widens bell-shaped in the direction of the base edge. Cavity has depth of between 0.5 and 1.3 mm. It is made of metal or ceramics.
