The support wheel (1) is formed as an eccentric and when the support element to which it is attached is not loaded the eccentric can be adjusted in its vertical position. When the support element is loaded the eccentric support wheel cannot rotate. The support wheel has pairs of support feet (2) on the outside so that the support foot furthest from the axle centre forms an individual support foot. The support wheel has a non-centrally mounted locking mechanism (7) with interengaging teeth.
